Has anyone been involved in car accident arbitration?

I will be the defendant in this case. My insurance company will represent me, however is it fair? The plaintiff is claiming this costly injury, however the accident was only 16days ago.

She told my insurance company she broke her hand, but they found out it was only sprained. Any advice will help. Thanks.

A truck that i own and insured for 25/50/50 liability was involved in a wreck. My friend was driving and …..

pulled out in front of someone. He was found guilty for “failure to yield, right of way”. The driver of the other car that hit him broke his leg severely, and had a steel rod installed, …i am sure that it was painful. My question is, can he and his lawyers come after me for more damages money wise if his medical bills and pain and suffering go higher than my coverage? My friend had permission to drive my truck, and the accident happened in Tennesee. What is the threshold? My house is worth $22,000 at best, and i am on social security disability also….Can they take part of my check? I get $812 a month. Thanks in advance.

Should I involve a lawyer if I was involved in a car accident that i have sustained injury from?

I was recently involved in a car accident. Rear ended quite badly by a Maxi Taxi. In Queensland Australia. The driver was charged. Police report filed etc… I have sustained whiplash and back injuries from the accident. I am currently claiming through CTP insurance but have had been advised by a few friends to go and see a no win no fee lawyer. I am off work for a month and have alot of restrictions. Am seeing physio 2-3 times a week. The CTP insurance is covering my doctors bills etc but my main concern is if I will be able to return to work and when. But… I just don’t have a full understanding of what a lawyer can do for me and how beneficial it would be for me. At this present point in time I am focusing on getting myself well but what about my future? Will I be compensated for any further problems etc…. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I feel that the insurance company is just trying to put me through their system as fast as possible and to them I know I am just another number on their books!

Car accident help? My car is a total loss, getting a lawyer involved?

So heres the situation: I was in a car accident over two weeks ago. I was going to turn left when a car smashed into me, running a red light. They were totally at fault, I have witnesses. My car is drivable, but I havent been driving it to work since the bumper is off, the headlight is busted, and just basically smashed up. Anyways, I contacted their insurance company (American Access Casualty Company) which from what I’ve read is one of the worst insurance companies who will drag their feet and take forever getting back to you. They finally sent an adjuster out last week, said they’d contact me in 48 hours, and never did. I finally had to call them and leave harrasing voicemails, and they finally returned my call, saying my car is considered totalled, and the reason they havent pursued it further is because they’re waiting on a police report and they cant get ahold of the people who hit me. Im pretty sure this is just bs, as many people have told me insurance companies will say and do anything to prolong paying you. This is my first wreck, so Im not sure what to do here. I already called and made an appointment with a car accident lawyer. Im just wondering how long it should take with the help of a lawyer to get my money for my car, pain and suffering, and time without a car. Im starting school in less than 2 weeks, and have to have a way to get around. Thanks!
i had a big bruise under my chin from where the airbag deployed, but no medical bills, since i didnt go to a doctor. but i had to miss work the day after it happened because of headaches and sore bruise, so that should count for something, plus all this time ive been without a car, in my state (arkansas) they have to pay you for the time you didnt have your car. it was 100% not my fault, i did stop before going to turn, they literally came out of nowhere. i have 2 witnesses, so if anyone tries to say i am at fault at all, i have 2 peoples names and numbers who will say different.

Can I get rid of a car that is involved in a lawsuit?

My car was totaled last April. I am involved in a lawsuit now about the car, but the city I live in says I need to remove it from my property or they will remove it for me and charge it. I’ve asked my lawyer and he said he believed I could, but he didn’t seem very sure. I only have 48 hours to take care of it, so I’d like to make a decision fast. I live in Texas and I was not at fault in the wreck.

I was involved in a car accident and want to take the driver to small claims court. What do I need to do/prove

Two cars hit each other and one of the cars went on to hit me while i was stopped at a red light. Each of the drivers’ insurance companies refuses to accept responsibility for the initial accident. I didn’t have insurance at the time. There was no personal injury, just about $1,500 damage to my car. It has been 3 months and still no resolution. It looks like small claims court would be the fastest way to go about it. Do I sue both drivers or just the one who hit me? Do I send the paperwork to the drivers individually or to their insurance companies? Are the insurance companies obligated to give me the drivers contact info? What will the judge be looking for me to demonstrate in court? How many estimates do I need? In addition to the actual damage to the car, am I entitled to supplemental damage, inconvienience costs, rental car cost, etc. If it gets this far, I want to take them to cleaners. Any other helpful info would be appreciated.

Whose insurance is responsible when one of the cars involved in the wreck was stolen?

I was hit head-on back in Nov.My car was totaled. None of us in my vehicle was seriously injurered. The other car was not being driven by the car’s owner. The owner of the other car claimed the car was stolen. However, it wasn’t until January that she filed a theft report. Her insurance is refusing to pay because the car was stolen. I am curiose how this is possible. I do have a lawyer, but so far they are not at all helpful.
