So my gf got into a car accident. she was in a lane merging onto another lane and she said the person behind her sped up, merged into the lane my gf merged into and both cars ended up scraping each other. the lady had a few scratches while my gf’s fender was slightly bent in. she cant really open her car door now. everyone claimed to be fine including my gf’s “friend.” in the end it was my gf who was at fault.
Now a week later my gf’s friend is claiming that she sustained soft tissue damage and now she filed a claim. obviously, the feeling of betrayal is a whole different story but here’s my concern. The friend went hiking right after the accident, and then again twice that week. shes been going to work, and i believe shes been going to the gym as well. she said she went to the doctor and she said she was in a car accident and it was probably whiplash, so the doctor said yes it was that and not hiking, since it doesnt use your lower back(she said her lower back, shoulder and neck hurt).
I think its a fraudulent claim, everyone was fine, the impact was low and i think shes taking advantage of my friend. What do you all think? and besides telling my insurance, which I have, do you have any other advice?

Part of asking this questions is to find out if I could do anything to help my girlfriend. Why would I want to “stay out of it?” if I’m trying to help her from getting screwed over, you oaf. So of course I want to do some investigation to help not only my gf, but her insurance company as well. Whether or not they need it is a different story. As far as the betrayal thing, yeah I agree, probably not worth mentioning that in Yahoo. And keeping my opinion to myself because that’s what men do…really?!?!how about deleting your post, you hypocrite! You just gave me your opinion!
