I was in an auto accident in VA. I was the passenger of the vehicle and the person t-boned the entire side of the vehicle I was in. The person that hit us was at fault and received a ticket. They didn’t have car insurance so my girlfriend’s car insurance is paying for everything. I was rushed to the ER and injured my neck, shoulder, chest, back and wrist. I am currently going to PT and OT. The physical therapist said I have musculoskeletal injuries. I have to take 4 different meds a day and I have chest pain several times a day. The current (some) bills and lost wages are over 6k as of right now and my physician says I will be in PT for at least another month. I haven’t been able to work my pt job because of the type of work I do there but I have been able to go to my full time job. How much should I expect for pain and suffering. I can’t even lift a bag of groceries now because my wrist hurts so badly. I don’t want to get a lawyer since they take all the money.
The insurance company already told me they are going to pay for my lost wages.

Should I make a claim under my insurance or just wait to see what happens?
PLEASE HELP
I hate looking like a 45 year old idiot, but there it is.I’ve never bought a car, or had insurance in my name until now.I’ve driven other peoples cars and was added to their insurance, but it was their policy so I never paid attention to the”rules of conduct”before now. I called my insurance company after the 1st accident,on the advice of a few friends.I didn’t think I’d need a lawyer because even though the other driver left the scene before the police had been called, he did come back a few minutes after they got there with proof of insurance so I thought it would be ok.I called a lawyer after my car was towed from the second wreck, which was my daughters fault. The lawyer was positive that I would be back in the drivers seat without a second down payment as soon as both insurance companies worked out who would have to pay for what. I barely noticed the wording when she asked HOW MUCH time I’d missed from work and WHICH chiropractor I was seeing rather than IF I had missed OR WAS I under a doctors care.At her suggestion, I went to a chiropractor and got checked out to make sure There wasn’t anything wrong that I would suffer from after it was to late.I was told my neck hurt because of arthritis and a previous condition that had been aggravated by the wreck. He said he could realign my spine and neck with treatment 3 times a week for a couple of months. The accident didn’t cause it, so I wasn’t going to make him pay for anything he didn’t cause. I guess I made the wrong choice because the lawyer called and said that they wouldn’t be able to take my case because the settlement wouldn’t cover their fees! Shortly after that call, my insurance called to say the other ins.was responsible for payment on the car as it was considered totaled on the 19th.All they are responsible for is salvage value that had been $348 before wrecks, but because of them,it was $325.However, my deductible is $500 which hasn’t been met,so they won’t be paying anything. This morning the other insurance company called and told me that they will send me a check for the estimated value of my car before August, in the amount of $2900.I told him that I needed at least $4558 to pay off the car his client had hit,He said I had been over charged at the start and he needed me to give him the phone number of the finance company so he could let them know of their decision! Wilco finance called me with-in 15 minutes to ask if I was going to get an attorney.to make them pay what I owe,or if I was going to pay them out of pocket.I didn’t know I could refuse to accept that amount until then.If I do,can they just say they made an attempt to pay me and because I refused to accept it,their debt is null and void?Would another lawyer take my case after I declined a lawsuit for pain and suffering? That wasn’t the reason they gave for dropping my case, but if the reason they gave was true, another lawyer won’t do any good!If anyone has any ideas or suggestions,I’d appreciate it.
I was involved in a hit and run accident w/a semi truck on Friday 6/4 on the freeway during rush hour traffic going about 10-15mph. The driver rear end me hitting my car multiple times and the last time I got hit I was literally standing on my brakes and the truck was pushing my car (an Acura Integra) and I could hear my brakes screeching and smelt burning rubber. At that point I was afraid for my life not knowing why this person was continuously hitting my car. I got the truck drivers plates and the police found him later that day at his job site and he stated he didn’t know he hit me. The police informed me he would not be charged w/hit and run unless I can prove that he had knowledge of him hitting me. I went to the doctor on Monday because of lower back pain and he sent me to physical therapy. When I called the other guy’s insurance company to make a claim, they set me up with an adjuster who said she would call me back the next day. I didn’t hear anything from her for 3 days so I called back and was told I had a new adjuster, so I called him and got his voice mail which stated he wouldn’t be back in his office until the next week. I called back the next week and after leaving many messages, I finally spoke to him and he stated that based on my statement, the insurance company would pay for all my auto and medical bills, and he would call me the next day after he spoke to his insurer and let me know the plan. I sent him an estimate and photos of my car. Then about a week later he left a message on my voice mail and emailed me stating:
Thanks for sending the photos over. Essentially our issue now is that our driver refuses to drop his story about you cutting him off and I cannot disregard what he is telling me. I want to avoid any hang ups on this file and don’t want you to feel like I am disregarding your story either. I know you said that you had aggravated your back and that was a part of your claim here. In an attempt to compromise this dispute, I want to take a shot at an offer I hope you could take. If I offered a percentage of your damages that reflected the disputed facts between the two parties (as in I pay 50% of your property and 50% of your injury claim), I don’t think you’d find it agreeable. Accordingly, I’d like to suggest that I pay 100% of your repairs as well as for a rental while it is in the shop in exchange for your full release of all claims. My compromise is paying for all of your damage despite the insured being upset and feeling like I am going against them and your compromise would be to forego an injury claim. Please advise if this is an acceptable option. Also, if you have the police report, send it over.
The police report clearly states that he is 100% at fault, so I have a few questions:
1.Now that I have proof that the driver did have knowledge of hitting me, how can I get him charged w/hit and run?
2.The estimate for my cars visual damage was $850 and I have spoken to two attorneys who said that they can’t represent, but that I should take it to a small claims court, so what do I need to do if I take him to small claims?
3.Because of the pain in my lower back, I can’t stand for more than 10 minutes, and I can’t walk very far nor for long periods of time, so can I get pain and suffering?
Car accident claims.?

One year ago for a school project had an X-ray on my back. 2 Months ago I was in a car accident that was completely the other persons fault. I had an X-ray done again immediately after accident and the doctors showed me that my spine at the upper top was crooked, and I am no longer able to lift anything over 40 pounds without pain. How much should I get in money for the permanent injuries aside from my medical bills being payed for?
I was in a minor car accident abou 3 weeks ago. The accident was my fault I drove through a red stoplight and hit the guy on his driv
ers side. Was going under 25 perhaps even under 20mph. There was no damage to the front bumper of my car but there was a dent On his drive side. He had 2 passengers in his car. Once we pulled over after the accident we asked eachother if we were okay. ( this part is important) he said yea and his passengers said yes they were fine. (let me remind you I barely bumped his car) so we got all e’s houses information down. So three weeks later the insurance company calls me to get another claim ( this is my second one by he way) as to what happen why and how. After I told her why she stated that they are filing a injury report…… This makes no sense. Supposedly someone in his car had a pre existing medical condition… *bullshit* so I wanted to know if I should be worried, this person is obviously lying just so h can get money. I barely bumped his car, please someone reply with what to do. Thank you fo your time.
