I was in a wreck 2 days ago, I only have laibilty insurance on my car, however, it was not my fault, the person responsible took the blame and was stated in the police report, this is my first ever accident so I don’t know how to proced to file my claim, should I call the persons Insurance company myself or go to lawyer? my car was left in bad shape & I can’t & I would not risk driving it any longer.
I was a victim of a rear-end accident and was in Chiropractic therapy for a handful of months.

Insurance has paid for all the medical and work-time lost.
Now 9 months later, the insurance company wants to pay me to settle/end my case.
My neck seems fine, but stiffness at random days. (treatment is over)
Should I take the settlement money?
If so, what is the normal amount usually given for something like this?
I’ll admit it, I caused the accident. On Superbowl Sunday, this year. I was turning left on an intersection I normally have to go straight on, and on the green light, I started turning, not seeing a pair of headlights coming right at me until it was too late.
With that said and done, both parties, both of us duos, left our cars. I was hysterical, but still had the right of mind to ask if they were both ok, and who was driving, they both said they were fine, and that the boyfriend was driving.
When we got the police reports, they filed the girlfriend as the driver. Odd, hm?
Now, six months later, exactly six months, mind you, we’re hearing that the guy is having back surgery and is blaming it on the accident and so suing us. We haven’t heard boo since this thing happened, and now we’re hearing something.
So is the case valid, or no?
it was an easy hit that did not harm any of our cars, the cups came and saw that there is no harm in both cars. the police officer did not give me a ticket, but had to write a report because the driver that i hit has claim injury. i am less experience in this. what could happen now? and what i am suppose to do if he claim injury? he was standing fine and then went to a restaurant after the accident.
