will i have to pay the remainder fees, after insurance, of a car passenger’s,back injury’s in my car accident?

i had a car accident by losing control of my car after driving to close to the curb with gravel. i jerked the wheel to hard at the legal speed of 55, to prevent from going off the road. in the result i lost control of my vehicle and flipped it 3times. i was not under the influences of any substance of any kind. it was a complete accident. i have full coverage insurance. my passenger was air lifted to the hospital for a back injury. my insurance was going to cover all his medical bills, up until he contacted a attorney to further sue my insurance company and myself. in result of all this my passenger will not talk to me anymore and is suing me for the remainder medical fees, future lost wages and future medical fees in which my insurance did not cover. a total of around $90,000 so far without the future costs. my insurance company appointed me an attorney for my case. question is, “will i be responsible to pay this passengers remainder medical bills and future medical bills and lost wages?” this passenger has a criminal history of many wrongs that resulted in jail and prison time. this passenger also does not hold a job long or one at all. the passenger claims to have permanent injures which i don’t believe, because I’ve seen this person drive and walk in public places, such as a bar. i believe this person is able to do things any other person can do. please give me some idea of what might happen in this case. will i have to pay for these things?

Can I sue for injuries from car accident after a year has passed?

My boyfriend got into a car accident a year ago (may 1st, 07). We have police report stating that it was another guy’s fault ( and it really was). He tried submitting a claim to my boyfriends insurance company, but they declined, and he kinda went away. In exactly a year he has put another claim to the insurance company, and they declined again. My question is – can he sue my boyfriend directly ( not through insurance) if it already has been over the year since the accident?

How do I go about disputing medical claim after a car accident?

I was in a car accident about 2 days ago, the other person that was hit is not claiming medical claims for injuries, the accident wasn’t that bad, it was according to the officer a “fender bender”, the impact was mostly on the mid passenger door to the back tire, I’ve been on an accident before and it was even worse that this and didn’t feel anything, I know that everyone is different but she had told me that she works at a chriropractic office so I’m assuming that it has a lot to do with her pursuing the claim.

I just really need an advice on how to go about this, I have car insurance and the damage to her car is taken care off.

PLEASE HELP.
i meant to say, she’s now filing a medical claim. Hopefully your right, that she’s doing this to make sure that she’s okay, where I hope she is.

I borrowed my friend’s car with his permission. After I wrecked it, he is claiming I stole it. What can I do?

I am not really involved in this occurance. I am asking on my roommate’s behalf.

My roommate was at his house (back in his MISSOURI hometown) and had several of his friends over. When one of his friends became intoxicated (underage) and wanted something to eat, he gave my roommate permission to drive his car to go to the store. My roommate then wrecked the car about 100 yards away from the house (it was mid-January, and there was black ice on the road). After he wrecked, he decided to walk back to the house because he did not have a cell phone on him. When he told his friend (still intoxicated), his friend said he would take care of everything the next morning. Unfortunately, local police found the abandoned, wrecked car first.

Come to find out, months later, my roommate was arrested for 3 charges. Apparently, his friend is accusing him of driving the car without permission.

His charges:
1. TAMPERING (1st degree).
2. RECKLESS DRIVING.
3. LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT.

How easy would it be for my roommate to get prove these accusations false? He cannot afford a private lawyer, but is worried that a public defender will not be able to help him as much.

My roommate’s case:
1. My roommate’s younger brother was witness to the car owner’s verbal permission to allow my roommate to drive. He also witnessed the car owner giving my roommate the keys.

2. It wasn’t reckless driving, it was on a very dangerous road in the middle of winter.

3. He left the scene to go back to the house to let his friend know because he did not have the cell phone. Foolishly, instead of calling the police right away, both he and his friend decided to wait until morning to take care of it.

Which charges do you think could be proven false?
Public defender vs. private attorney (remember, he can’t afford an attorney)?
Possible prison time, probation time, fines?

Any information or advice you can give me would help out immensely.

Is an injury claim valid if filed six months after a car accident?

I’ll admit it, I caused the accident. On Superbowl Sunday, this year. I was turning left on an intersection I normally have to go straight on, and on the green light, I started turning, not seeing a pair of headlights coming right at me until it was too late.
With that said and done, both parties, both of us duos, left our cars. I was hysterical, but still had the right of mind to ask if they were both ok, and who was driving, they both said they were fine, and that the boyfriend was driving.
When we got the police reports, they filed the girlfriend as the driver. Odd, hm?
Now, six months later, exactly six months, mind you, we’re hearing that the guy is having back surgery and is blaming it on the accident and so suing us. We haven’t heard boo since this thing happened, and now we’re hearing something.
So is the case valid, or no?
