Should I sue the people who made me late?

Earlier in the week I had a big, very important meeting planned with a prospective client. Key word is “planned”. The problem was a huge car wreck occured and put traffic to a complete stop. It wasn’t till an hour or so to move traffic again, and by that time, I had missed my meeting.

Sure, I called on my cell phone, but alas, it was no help. They were pinched for time and had to move on with their other business plans. I completely had a golden opportunity taken away from me. Not only that, I was counting on this commission to pay off my BMW.

My question is, I want to sue the people responsible for the accident, or the estates if they are dead, for the amount of commission I would have received. Clearly they are at fault, and my lawyer says I have a pretty good case actually. So, should I go forward with this lawsuit? I was so stressed and upset waiting in traffic, I think I might add a “pain and suffering” along with it as well.

i sold a car that i got in a trade,now the buyer cant get tags on it and got a lawyer to call me.what do i do?

i got a 2002 mustange gt for a trade for my 1999 crown victoria and gave her some cash with the trade.when i did the trade i knew that the car was in a wreck,but they never told me that the car had problems with the title.well i sold the 2002 mustang gt a month later and told the buyer that the car has been on a wreck.she drove it and took it to her mechanic and she told me she liked it and bought it.i did a bill of sale when she bought the car saying the car is sold as is! also when i did the trade with the crown victoria i did a bill of sale.i never got tags on the mastang gt so i sold it with the sellers information because i never sighned it.now the problem is that she called me and asked me to help her get the tags for the car.we tryed helping her but with no luck.its been more then a year since i sold the car to her.when she went to get her tags they gave her some paper work that she had to send out also with some pictures of when the car was wreck and after the car was fixed had to be send.they told her that she needs to report the car salvage first.i been real nice to her and shes been nice to me too,but her lawyer called me today about the 2002 mustang gt was not home when they called just heared the message and now dont know if i should return her money back or go to court.what should i do in this case..please help my husband is real worried about this and dont like seeing him like this…
i did not know the car was or has to be salvage.if you check the vin # the car is clean!! thats how i got the car just knowing it was on a wreck but asked the seller if it was salvage and he said no.the problem is that the car has to be reported as salvage and then make it rebuilt and thats how they could get tags on the car.

Car accident help? My car is a total loss, getting a lawyer involved?

So heres the situation: I was in a car accident over two weeks ago. I was going to turn left when a car smashed into me, running a red light. They were totally at fault, I have witnesses. My car is drivable, but I havent been driving it to work since the bumper is off, the headlight is busted, and just basically smashed up. Anyways, I contacted their insurance company (American Access Casualty Company) which from what I’ve read is one of the worst insurance companies who will drag their feet and take forever getting back to you. They finally sent an adjuster out last week, said they’d contact me in 48 hours, and never did. I finally had to call them and leave harrasing voicemails, and they finally returned my call, saying my car is considered totalled, and the reason they havent pursued it further is because they’re waiting on a police report and they cant get ahold of the people who hit me. Im pretty sure this is just bs, as many people have told me insurance companies will say and do anything to prolong paying you. This is my first wreck, so Im not sure what to do here. I already called and made an appointment with a car accident lawyer. Im just wondering how long it should take with the help of a lawyer to get my money for my car, pain and suffering, and time without a car. Im starting school in less than 2 weeks, and have to have a way to get around. Thanks!
i had a big bruise under my chin from where the airbag deployed, but no medical bills, since i didnt go to a doctor. but i had to miss work the day after it happened because of headaches and sore bruise, so that should count for something, plus all this time ive been without a car, in my state (arkansas) they have to pay you for the time you didnt have your car. it was 100% not my fault, i did stop before going to turn, they literally came out of nowhere. i have 2 witnesses, so if anyone tries to say i am at fault at all, i have 2 peoples names and numbers who will say different.

Question about a wreck I was in… What will the guy’s insurance pay on my car?

It is an old car that I use for commuting. It is only worth about $1500 fair market value, but I just put a new motor in it for $2000 and a guy rearended me and pushed me into the car in front of me, so it is gone. Is it just my bad luck for fixing an old car, or do they take that kind of stuff into consideration if I have the receipts. Also, I want to keep the car because it was in the family since it was new, so if I do that, will I get nothing? It will cost way more to fix than it is worth. What should I do? Also, me and my 2 year old both have whiplash, and I had to pay for the hospital visit with my insurance and I had to pay the copay for both of us. I still hurt, but nothing is broken, I just can’t move my neck because it is strained, and my son has a nasty knot on his head, but we are fine. Should I get a lawyer? I am not trying to ambulance chase… I am not greedy, but it just sucks that I am out all this money I put into my car, that ran better than a new one, and then I don’t know what my pain will be like next week because it hurts worse today. The guy told me and the lady he made me hit that he was texting his girlfriend and didn’t see me, so they established him at fault, but I just feel so screwed, because I am going to have to start driving my tahoe again, which gets crap gas mileage, and I totally get that has nothing to do with the insurance company what kind of car my other car is, but what if I didn’t have the tahoe? Wouldn’t the provide a rental? I am just not sure where to go from here. I don’t even feel like driving, but even if I wanted to, I am going from a car that gets 38 mpg, to a SUV that gets 11mpg, argh. Oh well, what should I do?

have you ever been in a wreck? do you always need a lawyer?

I had a wreck last week all the guy’s fault from rear ending me and my 2 yr. old at a red light. My son seems alright accept for the fact he is terrified to ride in a car. I am sore but not to where I can’t live my life… it does hurt to lift my son, and is actually impossible right now. My dr. recommend me to a chiropractor. The guys insurance company is saying since I am a 28 year old stay at home mom that I pretty much don’t deserve help. No lost wages, which I get, but my mom has lost 4 days of work helping me, no rental because I have another car to drive, even though I drove the wrecked car to save gas so now when I go to the doc it cost $50 in gas to go… so they want to give me nothing more than the car fix and medical until next week.
What if my injuries are long lasting? I know attorneys are blood suckers, and I am not greedy or a drama queen so I am afraid to call one. Advice?
Well this is the guys insurance… I had basic liability on that old car.

Can I got to a lawyer if my car accident case was dismissed?

On Jan. 14, 2011 I was involved in a auto accident. My car was wrecked in the process. I went to the emergency room that night because my legs were in pain. The cops gave me the ticket but it wasn’t my fault. I called 411-pain and went to therapy and went to talk to a lawyer. I was in therapy for almost 2 months then my lawyer dropped my case because he said I was at fault, even though I was fighting the ticket at court. My court case was dismissed. So does that mean i’m not at fault? If so can I go to any lawyer and try to see if I can get some money for my medical bills?

I have had a horrible past 3 months. I had to rent a car for 1 1/2 months because I work as a driver and that is my only means of money. I ended up spending over $1000 in car rentals. I have a $2000 medical bill. I was also in college at the time and my grades suffered big time. I was a A’s student and I went to C’s. I was very stressed with my insurance company because they were taking forever to resolve my case. I just want my bills paid off and some peace of mind. Please help me if anyone knows any info….
