You won’t go to jail but you do owe the money. You probably need to get a job to make the payments.

its your fault for having no insurance, now you have to pay the consequences. your saying you cant afford to settle for $175 when they’re suing for $4200?! a lawyer is gunna cost you $1000+, sell your car, sell crap you dont need and settle with them or setup a payment system.
you learn your lesson of the day yet?

As an insurance broker, I was constantly amazed by the number of people who take the chance of driving without insurance. Now you have nothing to repair your car, you owe for at-fault damages, and a lawyer is going to do is cost you at least $1,000 up front just to look at the file.
Sorry, you are now between a rock and a hard place. The best you can hope for is the court ordering a payment plan with a lower payment. Remember though, the lower the payment, the longer the debt.
Good luck, and don’t drive without insurance again. The largest uninsured liabiltity loss I have ever seen is $3 million. The girl in that case will be paying as long as she lives, unless she wins a lottery.

The judge may lower the payments because of your financial situation. If you don’t have a job, try to get one ASAP, it will show the judge you are at least trying. If the debt is not paid, it will go into collections, which can be a huge headache. I hope this will help you understand the importance of driving with insurance.
