I had a car wreck over a year ago and now I had to get a lawyer because the person that hit me is trying to still say it was not his fault that he hit me (even though he told the officer it was)
I have out standing medical bills, I had to pay for medication, I had to get a new car which made my car insurance go up and my car payment as well, I am still having neck and shoulder pains (that they are saying they can only fix with surgery at this point being i’ve done PT)
My lawyer wants me to come up with a sum and tell her and then she will tell me what she thinks i can get.
my mom said to add everything up and times it by 3 being its been a year and tell them that i am still having issues with my shoulder and neck. She also said that I can add in the taxs on the new car, the car payment going up and the insurance and I had to pay to get a lawyer and I had to pay my $500.00 dec.
I was thinking of to ask for at least $33,000.
Do you think that is to high, to low just right? Please someone help me out!
I had full covarge but after my wreck the company said i didnt have medical for myself so they arent paying my bills, and being i was hit it was not my fault i was hit i am not paying out of pocket for them…..

your lawyer should come with a offer and you tell him high or low

was your insurance FULL TORT, or Limited Tort?
if you have lmited tort you won’t get anything!
you need to figure out how no-fault auto insurance works, I can explain it to you, but I don’t need the hassle of someone else saying I don’t know what i’m talking about, so read your policy and you figure it out

You’re looking at surgery here in the future. Possibly more than one. Lost time from work and probably lost wages too.
PT was expensive and a great consumer of your time.
I think you are looking at $200,000+
Nothing in your post said anything about no-fault so I’m assuming the at fault pays in your state.
